Coastguard Lake Taupo has two well-equipped rescue vessels able to attend  emergency situations anywhere on Lake Taupo or the upper reaches of the Waikato River, in conjunction with Coastguard Turangi. Each crew on board 'CRV Taupo Rescue' or CRV Mighty River Power Rescue is trained in boat handling, search and rescue and first aid. The crew is on call 24 hours a day to attend emergency situations or provide assistance as directed by Police or our own Marine Advisors.
